How many times have you seen someone in leadership posturing? Puffing their chest out with authority and trying to impress those around them. Pretending they know more than they do or trying to appear a certain way.

How well did that work? Did that individual command the room with ease or did something about it fall flat?

Interestingly enough, posturing takes ALOT of energy. To hold yourself like you have a certain authority or act out of a need to impress others - that shit is draining AF. But there's something about it that can be so bloody tempting....

So how do we avoid the need to impress others? How do we show up without being concerned about what others think of us?

The key is to be so utterly grounded - to come from a place of such deep centeredness - that the truth of the matter just is.

There is no need to justify. No need to appear a certain way. The truth is indisputable and therefore there's no need to defend it - it simply is and always will be.

Think about how freeing that would be. To show up knowing that who and what you are are so unequivocally grounded in truth and love that there is no need to fight. That the world around you simply sees what's in front of them and welcomes it.

When you know every inch of yourself and APPROVE of every millimeter, you create this sacred trust between you and you. A trust that cannot be broken by any external force. When you have your own back in integrity and trust you get to show up grounded in the knowing of that - and everyone around you will feel it.
